Trellilume focuses on a fast, private experience for families that self-host.

Core experience​

  • Private by design: Run everything on hardware you control.
  • Albums your way: Nest albums, reorder collections, and customize covers.
  • Smart albums: Build rules with time, tags, people, cameras, and more.
  • Search and filters: Find items by date range, media type, favorites, archive, and more.
  • Shared albums: Invite trusted people and set viewer or editor access.
  • Locked folder: Protect sensitive content with a PIN.
  • Built-in editing: Crop, adjust, filter, and mark up photos plus trim and tweak videos.

Library cleanup and recovery​

  • Favorites and archive: Keep the content you love and hide the rest.
  • Trash with restore: Recover deleted items or permanently delete them later.
  • Backup and uploads: Sync on-device libraries to your Trellilume server with scheduled uploads.

Owner-controlled storage​

  • Optional product quotas: The Server Owner can leave per-account storage, total logical storage, and account-count limits Unlimited or configure finite values appropriate for the server.
  • Observe before enforcing: Measure usage and validate accounting before choosing whether product quotas should block growth.
  • Always-on safeguards: Finite file-size, concurrency, reservation, and minimum-free-storage protections remain active even when product quotas are Unlimited.

Coming enhancements​

We may add optional managed services for users who prefer hosted capabilities, plus richer sharing and access controls. Self-hosted users remain the core of the product.
